Had enough of ‘Yeh aam ka season hai’ while it makes no sense to you? With Lodi Garden Restaurant’s Mango fiesta, it totally will make sense.
In this scorching heat, all that it takes to soothe your nerves is a brilliant food menu in an equally amazing ambience. This is exactly what the team at Lodi Garden pulled off. With the promotion of the month revolving around the most loved fruit, ‘Mango’, the chefs made sure that you get the most delectable specials to choose from as you make your way through the humidifiers straight into paradise.
Being greeted with Aam Panna makes it even better. A quick glance at the menu and I realized that I might have a hard time picking up the best one. But having a terrible case of sweet tooth, I went for the dessert called Mango brulee with Vanilla ice cream as recommended by the chef. One look at it and my eyes popped out. Caramelized mango served with Vanilla ice cream, I hogged on and realized that this was the first time ever that I liked anything to do with mango. (Yes! I belong to the anti-aam brigade.)
Next to be ticked off was, hold your bated breaths, Mango soup. Mango soup? Yes. The irony was that it was a Cold Mango soup with chilled Mangoes, sparkling wine and yoghurt soup. Now something termed by chef Elam as his best bet could never go wrong, and it didn’t. Who could have ever thought that even a chilled soup could make way into the best delicacies you have ever tasted?
This is the restaurants 4th Mango Fiesta, A kitchen team of 17 chefs brainstorm and explore to treat your taste buds and leave you asking for more. What might leave you awestruck is how they have made wine an irresistible ingredient in their delicacies. With 3 dishes in appetizers, 3 dishes in mains, 7 in drinks and 4 in desserts, you get the real taste of mangoes straight out of their Pushkar farms.
Tempted enough already? 30th June is the last day to let your inner foodie unleash. Make sure you get a taste of the Mango fiesta soon before it’s over.
